About Jon Weir

I’ve been working in the building industry for more than 30 years. For 17 of those years I owned and operated a successful construction company, building new architectural homes and helping people renovate their properties.

After the Christchurch earthquakes, I lead a team of highly skilled builders and other trades to fix damaged homes. Giving me intricate and in depth knowledge in relation to what is needed to repair earthquake damaged properties and the skills needed to identify potential problems and risk areas within those homes.

Change of direction

In 2016 I undertook the Accredited Building Surveyors (ABS) Training Programme to become a BOINZ Accredited Building Surveyor. I am now using my skills and experience to help house hunters in their search for a home or sound property investment. For as a Qualified Tradesman, LBP and BOINZ Accredited Pre-purchase inspector I look to provide a property inspection report which will enable you to make an informed decision in relation to your next property purchase.
